Zero hunger
We play our role in producing more and better food in the future by enabling two alternative protein industries at the same time.
Our food-grade recombinant proteins will create the cost reduction needed for the big breakthrough of cultivated meat.
At the same time, the possibility to produce high-value molecules on top of the regular insect protein meal and insect lipids, will boost the profitability and further roll-out of the insect bioconversion industry.
Climate Action
Traditional meat is one of the main contributors to climate change: enabling the breakthrough of cultivated meat as an alternative at cost parity will reduce the pressure from livestock farming.
Our technology, starting from waste processing by the Black Soldier Flies, actually captures carbon as biochar at the end of the process. Per ton of bioconverted organic side stream, around 92 kilograms of CO2-equivalent is sequestered in the soil. This carbon-removal technology is another Flyblast contribution to the fight against climate disruption.
Life on Land
Traditional meat is one of the main contributors to biodiversity loss through land-use change: enabling the breakthrough of cultivated meat as an alternative at cost parity will reduce the pressure from livestock farming on ecosystems on land.
Life Below Water
Traditional fisheries are a main contributor to the depletion of fish stocks, and degradation of marine ecosystems: enabling the breakthrough of cultivated seafood as an alternative at cost parity will reduce the pressure on ocean ecosystems

We use innovation and technology to make a number of industries more sustainable, by replacing traditional ingredients with circular molecules. We combine multiple innovative technologies to enable breakthroughs for waste management, insect bioconversion and food production.
